For my music video I want to use a variety of locations majority of these are outside in areas such as fields, in front of factories, interesting walls (textures, age, style, brick) and along stapleford high street. My other location is within a music studio at my college. For all these locations there are many ways in which my group can film we have discussed various camera angle and positions;
We are really interested creating a mirrored shot similar to one in Florence & the machine’s “what the water gave me” as there is a lengthy instrumental section at the beginning of the track I think this will make a very artist looking starting point to the beginning of our video which will make audiences want to watch it again.
We are always interested in overlays in which one artist has a close up of them singing with the guitar underneath the image. Both these types of shots will have to be edited to make, this will be done with Adobe when in the editing stage of the video.
Other more familiar shots we wish to include are;
- Long shots
- Two shot
- Close up and extreme close up
- Over the shoulder shots
- Jump cuts
- Mid shots
- High angled
- Low angled
- Panning
This is a plan for the layout of both angles we wish to shoot from in the music studio. The lighting with be artificial roof lights we will set the white blance before shooting to set the colour.
Not only do we wish to have a variety of shots and angles to make the piece interesting and individual we want to look at the possibility of changing the contrast and brightness scale on some scenes, we are also interested in looking at black and white to some sections.
